The Ann Arbor Public Main library on Fourth Ave had some exquisite quilts that are part of an invitational exhibit with the theme "Out of this World" on the 3rd floor and in the basement.
The photos don't begin to give the subtle threads and stitching justice. Exhibit ended Jan 14!

For this tenth annual Michigan Quilt Artists Invitational, curators Mary Andrews of Grand Blanc, Judy Dunnett of White Lake and Marty Lawrence of Flint Township selected over 50 quilt makers from around the state to create small quilts, using imaginative techniques and materials, to interpret the theme, Out of this World! The Michigan Quilt Artist Invitational brings selected quilters together to promote freedom of expression, experimentation, and individual style among the participants.
